Coronachaos Lockdown Take 2 – Day Minus 1

What a magnificent autumn morning, long may they last!
Savouring the great outdoors will help lockdown to pass.
As the colours of the leaves evolve and ultimately fall,
Take time to appreciate nature, however small.

Changing nature is inevitable, but other things less so,
Will lockdown be a success? No one can know.
One thing’s for sure, the US ballots have closed,
So we can while away some time watching how the election fallout goes.

Coronachaos Lockdown Take 2 – Day Minus 2

With anxiety rife, it’s the dawn of the penultimate day,
Lockdown Take 2 will soon be underway.
With similar trepidation, the US Election concludes too,
No one knows what’s in store or who will be who.

Tensions are mounting whichever way you look,
On the election outcome some are running a book!
What will be will be, it’s a waiting game,
Regardless of the outcome, lockdown will trump all the same.

Coronachaos Lockdown Take 2 – Day Minus 3

Today’s the first working day since lockdown 2 was declared,
Everyone’s discussing the impact now the rules have been aired.
Impacts far reaching, and our route out unclear,
With the news of the US presidential elections somewhat pushed to the rear.

Will it just be a month or will it be more?
How long until a vaccine will be knocking at our door?
Let’s hope not too long until normality can resume,
In the meantime let’s spread cheer to minimise our gloom.

Coronachaos – Lockdown Take Two, Day minus 4.

As we all know, Boris announced the inevitable yesterday,
It seems another national lockdown is the only way.
With most things closed and no chance to see those we hold dear,
I’ll be posting a daily poem to spread a little cheer.

Sometimes it’s the little things which help to get us through,
A few kind words to others is something we can all do.
If you like my daily poem, check back tomorrow for more,
A word of cheer or two until normality can be restored.

Written Right On the Road

On a bright autumn day, with the sun shining bright,
We set out to see the most beautiful sight.
The sea lapped up around Durdle door.
Glistened and sparkled and glistened some more.

Sandbanks peninsula – natural beauty for sure,
Beautiful beaches, sparkling sea; I couldn’t want more.
Mesmerising hours spent strolling stunning Shell Bay,
Before the chain ferry returned us at the end of the day.

Work Leads to… More Work!

Recently, I completed one of my favourite writing projects to date; writing a large amount of content for a website. The project has landed really well,  growing arms and legs since it’s original scope! It’s keeping me very much out of mischief as it develops and grows. Work like that simply doesn’t feel like work. 😀
