A sunny afternoon stroll around crumbling castle walls,
Imagining days gone by and, the regal historical halls.
The castle is but a ruin now; the passing of time taken its toll,
But a recent excavation, shows artefacts of days of old.
Evidence of the dungeons and the danger are still clearly in place,
So many people having been there, the rich and the disgraced.
In spite of its importance, the castle now stands quiet and still,
But remains an imposing indication of the history of the hill.
